Dan Walwin (1986, England) currently lives and works in Amsterdam. Walwin studied at Goldsmiths College, London and was resident artist at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam from 2012-13. For his videos and installations Walwin often deploys elements of architecture and (technological) infrastructure resulting in sensory environments with a lingering tension. Recent solo exhibitions include Winds at Cell Project Space, London and Sun room at P/////AKT, Amsterdam in 2015, as well as recent screenings and group exhibitions at the Bluecoat, Liverpool, CCC Strozzina, Florence, and the Skulpturenmuseum Glaskasten, Marl. In 2016, he will be a resident artist at Triangle, Marseille, and also included in the Dorothea von Stetten Art Award exhibition at Kunstmuseum Bonn.
